12 Weeks of Christmas Giveaway #1

Also each week I will announcing this week's Handmade Giveaway!

To start off the giveaway series, I thought I'd offer up one of my own pieced applique sets, ready to use on your Christmas craft projects!

This set includes one tree and one stocking cut from 2"strips of 3 different fabrics. The tree measures 9" tall by 7.5" wide, and the stocking 8.5" tall by 7" wide. Each was pieced, drawn and cut by me, and is backed with Steam A Seam, so all you have to do is iron and go! Add some decorative stitching if you want!

This will be an easy giveaway to start off with: just leave me a comment below about one of your favorite holiday memories - doesn't matter what holiday it is, just a favorite memory! And as will always be the case in this series, you can earn more entries by leaving a link to places you've made a shout out about this giveaway - Twitter, Facebook, blog, networking sites, etc. The more shout outs, the more entries!

This giveaway will be open from today through 11:59pm Saturday, 10/3/09. The winner will be announced here on the blog on Sunday, 10/4/09.

I can't wait to hear your memories! Amy

My favorite holiday memory was my first Christmas with my husband. We drove around looking at Christmas lights and we tried to make recipes from our respective families. It was fun trying new things.

Mine is from years ago, my dad used to drive us into town at night to see all the Christmas lights. It was magical

Easter:
a child. I remember dressing up in a pink dress (my Sunday best) and taking a picture with my dad in the front yard with a huge inflatable bunny that the Easter Bunny brought me.

One of my favorite memories is of my husband, we'd been married about2.5 years at the time, and we'd just got stationed in TX, it was Christmas, and we didn't have a tree. I was down about it, so he said he'd be right b ack. When eh came home he told me to close my eyes and when I opened them he'd gotten me a tree(white), ornaments (hot pink, gree, silver and blue), and topper to match. I was in tears. :) I've never taken so many pictures of a Christmas tree before, but it was our first one. :)

Hi, I love your designs. My favorite memory is the 2nd tree my parents put up for us 8 kids to exchange gifts with each other so they could sleep in on Christmas morning. We would then wake them up and all go together to the main tree after my Pop stumbled in the dark to light it.
